What to include on an auto repair invoice
- Your shop details: name, address, phone, email and your GST/HST registration number.
- Invoice number and date so you and the customer can find it later.
- Customer: name, phone and address, or the company name for fleet customers.
- Vehicle: year, make, model, VIN, plate and odometer reading.
- Labour: what was done, the hours and your hourly rate.
- Parts: each part with its quantity and price.
- Shop supplies or fees if you charge them, listed as their own line.
- Subtotal, tax and total, plus any deposit or payment already made.
- Payment terms, like due on receipt, and how the customer can pay.
- The customer's signature authorizing the work.
